Shay Wells is an associate at Woodburn and Wedge. His practice is focused on commercial law, commercial litigation and bankruptcy law. Mr. Wells joined the law firm in 2010 after serving as a law clerk in the summer of 2009. He received his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2010 and his Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice pre-law, with distinction, from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007. In law school Mr. Wells was a member of the Gonzaga Law Review and became associate editor in his final year of law school. Mr. Wells also participated in Gonzaga's externship program and worked as the legal extern to the Eastern District of Washington Bankruptcy Court. While there, he served as the legal extern for two judges: the Honorable Chief Justice of the Eastern District, Frank L. Kurtz and the Honorable John A. Rossmeissl. Mr. Wells also submitted an article titled "A Good Idea Gone Bad: The Unnecessary Extension of Third Party Releases in In Re Ingersoll, Inc." which was published in Notes, the Eastern District of Washington Bankruptcy Court's annual newsletter. |
