Gregg P. Barnard is a shareholder with experience in assisting corporations with mergers and acquisitions, in addition to providing general commercial law and real estate law. Mr. Barnard represents Sierra Pacific Resources and its subsidiary Sierra Pacific Power Company in connection with various long-term financing activities and acted as Nevada counsel with respect to the merger with Altus Corporation and Washington Water Power Company, which merger agreement was terminated by Washington Water Power Company prior to federal regulatory approval. Mr. Barnard also participated in Bank of America’s 1992 acquisition of Valley Bank of Nevada and represented The Taubman Group in its 1993 restructuring involving several Nevada properties and entities.
Mr. Barnard also represents several nationwide commercial lenders and provides continuing legal advice on corporate issues and asset-backed financing transactions and represents Advanta Corp. and its subsidiaries in connection with various credit card receivables transactions. He further advised Cyanotech Corporation and Belco Oil & Gas Corp. in connection with such companies' initial public offerings in 1996. Mr. Barnard also represents various California based companies in the process of divesting and exchanging California assets, and employing multiple-tiered entities, structures and reorganization mergers.
Mr. Barnard is a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association [Member, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, and Business Law Section (member, Committee of Unincorporated Business Associations, Uniform Commercial Code, and Commercial Leasing)]. |
